CHURCH "ST. DIMITAR ”VRAČEŠ VILLAGE
It is located in the center of the village. In 1863, the idea of building a church was born. Construction takes 2 years and 6 months. The responsible and main master is Vuno Markov from Vračeš, who is known to have participated in the construction of the Clock Tower in Botevgrad. About 2,000 cubic meters of river stone were used for the construction of the temple and the fence of the church yard with a high wall. The decorative design of the wreaths, windows and door edges was probably done by the construction itself. The church was consecrated on September 30, 1865. Architecturally, it is a single-nave basilica-type building, 23 m long and 10 m wide. and height 8.50 m. The thickness of the walls is 1.50 m. The church is covered with tiles and plastered. Impressive are the 10-meter beams that connect the south with the north side, and above them the arch, which after a century has not shown any shortcomings. The masters of the first iconostasis are not known. In 1932, it was replaced by carved and furnished new icons, the work of Debar masters - the Filipovi family. The Gospel, the Bible and other church books were purchased in the church, including the book "Minea" for the month of November. The church yard is surrounded by a wall in places larger than 3 m. The masters are from the villages of Smolsko, Pirdopsko. The bell tower was erected on the highest place in the courtyard, to the right of the church, the construction of which began in 1892, when the bells themselves were made in June.
