CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE LORD, VILLAGE OF RAŠKOVO

The Church of the Ascension of the Lord is the parish church of the diocese of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Lovchani, built in the center of the village of Raskovo, Botevgrad municipality.

It was consecrated in 1922. In structural terms, it is a single-nave single-apse, elongated in the east-west direction, a building with two domes and a bell tower.

Carved iconostasis and frescoes of high artistic value decorate the interior, which has an emporium from the west, above the entrance. The chandelier in the monastery is a gift from Tsar Boris III. Savior's Day is a temple holiday of the church.
