Cathedral of St. Three
The cathedral church in Leskovacis dedicated to the descent of the Holy Spirit - the Holy Trinity. It was built next to the old church of Odžaklija. The church was completed and consecrated in 1931 according to the project of the Russian emigrant VasilyAndosov, an engineer of the Ministry of Construction of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The painting was done by Andrej Bicenko and the iconostasis in a marble relief by Anton Frank, a stonecutter from Split. The citizens of Leskovac launched an initiative to build a church on Vidovdan in 1919. The first funds for the construction of the church were raised through the sale of church shops. Work on its construction, according to the designs of the architect Andosov, began in September 1922, and the foundations were consecrated on October 15 of the same year. King Alexander and Queen Mary donated 10,000 dinars for the construction of the church. The temple was completed in 1931, and King AleksandarKarađorđević attended its solemn consecration on December 20. With its architecture, as well as the icons made for the iconostasis, this church represents the most important segment of the architectural heritage of Leskovac and its surroundings in the Serbian style. With its five domes, it resembles Gracanica. The church residence was erected and consecrated in 1937, and the fence around the church complex in 1940.
